The food was good. The service very good. They are getting ready to close for the season.
Great deal on twin one pound lobsters. Service could be better.
One of the best places we've found for seafood. The lobster is fresh and tender and the scallops are huge and flavorful.
Pleasantly surprised by this place. Food was good beer was cold I was happy
Family run was fine with me but for 23.00 I expected more than 6oz 1/4 inch thickness slice of swordfish cold hot vegetables .
This is a fun spot to hang out. Food is always very good. Their Curried Mussels are a favorite. The staff is friendly and attentive. Always have a fun time at Jumpin Jake's!
Great food and portions compared to other restaurants this is top of list next to the landmark.
Have been here many times and both the food & the service are always top notch... even for take-out. Big thumbs up if you are looking for some great food.
Food was terrible will not make that mistake again
Had a nice time. Very reasonable happy hour and great bartender. We did get buck a shuck oysters that were decent, but could have been cleaned a bit better. But overall the menu was priced well and their happy hour is extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back to try something else besides the oysters, as the plates came by the bar and looked pretty tasty.
This place is awful. I ordered fried haddock with fries and coleslaw for $20. I got a handful of limp fries, a small piece of haddock, and about a spoonful of coleslaw THAT SOMEONE SPIT IN! The prices are high, the food is mediocre, and who knows what's happening to the food before it gets to you. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. My advice, stay away from this place, but if you do eat here it's at your own peril.
Overpriced and the Nantucket haddock tasted freezerburnt. An hour after eating here I still have a nasty aftertaste from the fish in my mouth, but the waiter was really cool. If it weren't for him It would be 0 stars.
Twin Lobsters $19.99. Need I say more?! My date was very happy and so was I. A/C inside and Patio dining outside.
Was worried because it wasn’t busy on a Friday evening. Not disappointed at all. Large group tried lots of different things. Oysters for $1 were super fresh, hard shell lobster was delicious, lobster roll had tail meat which I don’t recommend but still tasty, shrimp plate was on point, and blackened haddock sandwich was awesome. Kid and pet friendly.
Great place! The food was delicious and we were surprised by how cute it was inside. Very artsy and cool. Not what we expected. My husband and our two teens really enjoyed our lunch here today.
Great seafood and fair prices.
It was ok but lobster sandwich was blah..lots lobster but no taste..I did not like and was to much money for me..
Great food, good price. Fast
Lobster and beer for $10. What could be wrong?
Jumpin Jake's has been the cheapest spot for lobster, as of May 2016 the twin lobster dinner was $25. For that I give this place 5 stars!!
Food was good. Bar Service fromm Derek was great and the regulars were a blast. Give them a try.
Tom was our server, wonderful service and great food ty
Food was really good but very small portions for the money. Service was a bit slow and the place wasn't even busy. Would recommend if you're not in a hurry or a big eater
Other reviewer reports best price around based on twin lobster dinner for $25 in may 2016. As of June it's only $19.99! However my lobster roll was 18.99 (not such a great deal). But still I would have given it four stars, except my server brought my food out and then promptly forgot about me. Maybe because I was a solo diner. She didn't have any other tables! After 30 minutes I finally asked another server to ask her to bring me some more water. But the lobster roll was quite good, the buttered roll was especially delicious.
We have visited here many times and always looked forward to our next visit. After this last visit we will not be returning. I even asked if it had changed hands. It was very disappointing.
Food was not what I would call great. But was good. Lobster with steamers was little high for what you got per serving. Seafood trio shrimp were the size of cocktail shrimp. Haddock was excellent scallops were bay scallops. Waitress was very friendly.
So good I cant remember going there
Used to go every visit to OOB. Last visit wasn't so great. I found a bug in my drink and I brought it to the waitresses attention. Her response was it's nutmeg. I didnt realize nutmeg had legs. Needless to say, she didn't even offer to get a new drink. The drink was a rum swizzle which costs $8.50. I wouldn't recommend going here. Their quality has gone down since a few years ago.
Food was sooooooo good!! We had fabulous service, our waiter was Tom and he was great. Husband said the homemade onion rings were the best he has ever had. Scallops and clam chowder were delicious as well. Also, amazing bread! Thank you :-)
This place has very good Seafood and very good fish and chips I am telling you the. Coca cola in the cups are the best
Laid back yet cozy environment. Food was good, friendly service. Off the beaten path.
Just had dinner(twin lobsters for me and my wife) was great.. atmosphere was great and so was the staff..we will be back Friday for dinner...
I can understand the slow service lately but the food was just bad. Soggy fries and the haddock sandwich was all batter. Draft beer was good.
Delicious food..I had the clam chowder...so fresh. The shrimp florentine was seasoned perfectly. Yummy key lime pie!
Food is excellent and the service was very good. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. A must visit place
I have been pretty much a regular here this summer. I have enjoyed every meal! My favorite is the Greek appetizer that has goat cheese, tomatoes, olives garlic cloves in olive oil. You dip, (or spoon!) this mixture on toasted bread! So good, all the fish dishes and other items,( summer salad wow!) like oysters and chicken piccata are sublime. They are closing today, Oct 14, but I will be there in the spring! Can't miss, great food!
Ate here for a 4th summer vacation in a row. As always food was great, staff friendly and attentive. Seafood selection has a wide variety as does the selection for non seafood lovers. There is also a take out counter. Outdoor and Indoor seating. A fish market type place where you could buy Seafood by the pound is also on the premises. Overall this is a one stop for all of what your dinner needs might be.
Had oysters they were fabulous the poutine was delicious also!!!🤗
Nice place on the way to old orchard. Got twin lobsters for $20.00 that came with fries. Nice and friendly server.
We absolutely love visiting Jumpin Jake's when visiting Maine. Wonderful and friendly staff, absolutely amazing fresh sea food. And an all around great experience.
The food was good but was disappointed they didn't have clam chowder which is one of the staple local items we wanted to try. Service was slower than expected. Atmosphere was good overall and very friendly. Thier Haddock chowder was delicious.
Best surf n turf ever, terrific service, competitive prices
For a $55. Bill for two people it's very overpriced .Second food was actually disgusting.Certainly was not fresh.Maybe on Monday it was but not Sat night.Up all night, not right for 3days..... Go elsewhere
I got 2 very delicious lobsters here for only like $20 it was delicious
Food poisoning with their chowder. Stuff not really friendly. Bad tasting water too. Awful experience.
Recommended by local friend for best value delicious lobster meal. I was very happy with succulent fully stuffed fresh lobstah roll!
Great food and service! Can't wait until next season. Fun and exciting atmosphere for all.
Food was decent, but we basically all had fried platters. Problem was with the service. Took over 30 minutes to get our lunch and the place was not that busy. When I mentioned to our server, who was also the manager, that other groups who came in after us were eating before us he basically told me I was lying. Being a restaurant manager myself, I found his response laughable. Needless to say we won’t be back, and we’re locals.Nice reply, dripping with class yourself I see. There’s an old saying in the restaurant business you may have heard, “If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen “.
Not your Maine lobster place to go . Over price for a soft shells lobster. Not recommended
Superb food! Will definitely go back.
